Custom Chromaluxe Metal Photo Prints by Bumblejax

The Process:  Your image is first printed on a transfer paper using our Epson F6200 dye-sublimation printer. The print is then placed on to the Chromaluxe metal and placed into a heat press which causes the dyes from the transfer paper to transform into a gas. These gaseous dyes are pressed into the surface of the metal, and as the metal cools, the dyes return to their solid-state, becoming permanently infused into the aluminum substrate. Metal prints are easy to clean and are also temperature and moisture resistant.

Thickness:  .045"

Finish/Appearance:  Product: Gloss White.  Glossy/vibrant in appearance.  Slightly rounded corners (squared corners if adding gallery back option).

NEW!  We now offer both a Semi-Gloss & Matte finish to go along with the Gloss finish and you can choose the option at checkout.

NEW! Gallery Backer Option:  You have the option of adding a 1/8" thick black edged dibond piece to the back to provide more rigidity to the thin metal and more prominence on the wall.

Backing/Hanging:  Full aluminum subframe with french cleat hanging (full subframe not necessary for sizes under 15x10).  All hardware provided.  Floats from the wall 3/4".

Sizes:  We can do any size in 1/4" increments up to 96x48".

Care/Cleaning:  Contrary to popular belief, these aren't indestructible, and precautions should be taken to ensure these last many years.  We recommend avoiding sustained direct sunlight whenever possible and handle with care to avoid scratching.

Disclaimer: The special coating on the Chromaluxe metal prints can, at times, show subtle imperfections that, at regular viewing distance, would typically not be seen.  We do everything we can to avoid obviously imperfect metal particularly when it can't be hidden within the image.  Please note we can't redo metal prints based on subtle imperfections.
